Responsible for providing daily surveillance, consultation and ongoing education related to Infection Control within multiple communities. Provides support and quality assurance as directed by COO, and will also assist in maintaining and increasing performance and compliance.


** Must be willing to travel up to 60% of time.


  • Facilitating compliance of Infection Control within communities.
  • Coordinates the infection control program; which includes surveillance, development of reports, and reporting to COO.
  • Implement and evaluate infection prevention and control strategies in each community.
  • Provides consultation and education to staff, in respect to Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Notify the County and/or State Health Department of any reportable cases, adhering to all internal, county and state procedures under direction of COO.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement procedures and protocols for resident care and infection control mechanisms relating to infectious case control and quality management.
  • Direct community staff regarding company policies and procedures.
  • Recommend policy and procedure changes where appropriate to improve operations based upon observation, evaluation, feedback and status of community operations.
  • Other duties as needed by circumstance.


  • Must be willing to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • LPN preferred, but not required.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED; however, some college is preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand and follow directions.
  • Must have strong organization skills, as well as written and verbal communication.
  • Must have no substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program.
  • Must have a clear SBI and DMV record and maintain them during duration of employment.
  • Must have a valid NC drivers’ license and maintain during duration of employment.
  • Must have had at least 8-years of driving experience, as this is a requirement company's liability Insurance carrier.
  • Creativity and quality teamwork skills are a must.
  • Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and reach overhead as needed.
  • Must be able to lift, Push, and Pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
